Today was the first time in months I was actually impressed with a support service

MUCHO impressed with Talktalk’s help service. There was a problem with my internet connection today, and troubleshooting revealed it was the phone service that was the trouble.

Looking at talktalk’s support service, here’s an assessment of what they got right:

  1. Browsing issues by phone number — no stupid login/password to remember
  2. Big notification saying

    We’re aware of a problem in your area. Affected services include voice and data”.

  3. One-step registration for text updates when the issues are sorted

Instant reassurance and facility for updates. That is how to do it, people.
