(The relevant part is the spoken intro and the first verse, but the rest is good too)

The band in this video are Show of Hands — from Devon, UK. As well as playing trad music, they write songs (often to do with current affairs) in a trad/folk/rock/un classifiable style. And they have a fairly unique approach to piracy, as you will have heard if you watch the video.
They encourage their fans to copy their CDs. They're also highly supportive of fans taping their concerts and posting them on YouTube. In fact, they posted a link to this video and the others from that concert on their blog!
They do this because they know that the real money is in live performances. A copied cd is extra free publicity for them, and peer marketing is far more effective than traditional advertising — so much so that facebook have made a business out of it. And a taped concert can only ever give a small taste of what it's really like to be at a live concert.
In summary: if piracy is such a big problem to artists, bands and producers, it's because they cannot adapt, and are too myopic/greedy to usenet it for what it is — in the words of Steve knightely, "it's not theft or piracy, it's generosity (and bloody good free marketing for me)".
Phew! Just spent the last two hours writing rather an epic #cigar box #guitar tune. I haven't done an immersive #composition for a while, it felt good.
The smart cover is no more intelligent that it's 'dumb' predecessor.
First driving lesson tomorrow! A bit scared considering I've never been on the road before, but I can control the car alright, so it shouldn't be too bad… I hope :|
I had a weird phone call earlier today… there were some rustling noises, and then they hung up.

Do you agree with that?
Just had a visitor to my website using Firefox 2 on windows 98! That's certainly the oldest combo yet. Irony is, it probably still rendered my website better than IE7… #hateie #webdesign
A tip for users of #piwik #analytics — if you want to use campaigns, but don't want to clutter things up with bothersome URL parameters (which would, for example, make a QR Code a lot bigger), just set up a server redirect/alias that redirects from some shortened URL e.g redirect:
to
waterpigs.co.uk/lutherie/catalogue/dulcimers/D4?pk_campaign=ads&pk_kwd=catalogue
(Real example) then use the shorter URL on your actual advertising . It's a bit of a cheat, but works nicely. #webdesign #server #http #apache

How do you refer to years in #french? E.g. In English it's fine to say either "two thousand and twelve" or "twenty twelve". Is "vingt douze" valid French?

Any guesses what it does?
