1. Reflecting on 2013 with my . Biggest things personally have been making my second , moving to Iceland and meeting+working with all the great people over here. Lots of and progress, including a great indiewebcamp in September.

Looking forward to 2014: more cooking, more indieweb progress, seeing more of Iceland, going to some gurdy festivals, improving hardware hacking abilities, connecting my gurdy and other devices to the web and each other.

  2. In the best of Walters traditions, went for a snailshell collecting walk and now can’t stop eating dried mango whilst forumlating plans for THE ULTIMATE LAPTOP CASE to be made before I fly back to Iceland

  3. Went whale watching, saw several dolphins, two minke whales, a load of puffins and several thousand unexpected jellyfish.

Comic highlight when the announcer tried to give us a sense of just how big blue whales can be…

“Imagine a basketball court, with a blue whale in. That basketball game… would be over”

  4. Ah, a happy end to rather a traumatic night. And the moral of the story? Trust maths over Icelandic bus drivers.

  5. Current Walters discussion: what is more useful when job seeking, GCSEs or cake-making ability (demonstrated through providing the potential employer with a cake to try)
