Today I’ve gone from having almost no #gurdy wood to having almost all of my gurdy wood! Some exciting photos:
Unpacked, grouped:
Plywood for the wheels being cut:
And best of all, a gurdy egg made from all the tape used to package the materials!
Listening to @han’s 2010 dConstruct talk whilst wrestling with my printer. It will print my gurdy plans. I will make it.
@sophiedennis I went last year and it was fab. Just ordered my ticket — it’s an 18th birthday present from my parents
Finally got a #gurdy body design I’m happy with. Just spent 30 mins trying to persuade the printer to print it. Finally, success!
Iterating over a #gurdy with sharpies and a TV:
Oho, #firstsignofwinter: My hurdy #gurdy’s keyboard is beginning to play up up.
Just uploaded a demo of my Vio Hurdy Gurdy’s pickups: https://soundcloud.com/barnabywalters/vio-hurdy-gurdy-bouree-aurore-sand

Right! Enough programming. Off to the burnt down church with my gurdy.
Finally got harmonies working on my gurdy. Next up: Electromagnetic pickups.
This was the performance that made Gilles Chabenet my new favourite gurdy player: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZdVgitZUBg
Off to the workshop to make some last minute changes to my Vio Gurdy before Chateau d’Ars!
