Finished reading Steve Jobs, The man who thought different by Karen Blumenthal.
A nice summary of Steve’s life, with some interesting details I’d not come across before. The technical mistakes were a let–down, and the language was patronising at times (e.g. explaining what “profit” meant).

Aaron Parecki I wish they would show you which email/number they're calling if you hav multiple. Gives it some context.
Amazed at #HTML+, which had scribble
and audio
form input elements! http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/HTMLPlus/htmlplus_41.html
Anna Debenham perhaps that will help shut some of the “same old faces” complainers up
davewiner I disagree that browser makers should “make sure they don’t break bootstrap apps”. They should concentrate on following specs, and markup authors should do the same.
I wish more articles were presented in this form: http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2012/12/zork-infocom-pioneer-award/
Trying out kangoextensions.com for cross-browser extension building. I kinda feel this is something vendors should have figured out already :/
From Will.i.am I want to write code:
#tech“I will not start an initiative until I've spent my own money. Because if I spend my own money, people who want to get on board afterwards know that I am serious about it.”
He used to go to nightclubs, but now he goes to conferences "which are better than clubs because they still have music and after-parties but you get knowledged-up before the party".
Optimal video-splitting workflow on a mac:
Josh Emerson making machines do stuff. So much fun :)
Aral Balkan uh, that URL is a bit pokey :/
@textfiles oh wow, that immediately looks far more complete than before!
Where are the contextual experiences?
So many apps and services assume you wish to have a long-term experience when a teprary one would suit you better.
For example, installing an app you're only going to use for a particular event. Or, subscribing to someone/thing for an event.
@raspberry_pi for a moment then I thought it said “Extreme Director” :)
Motorola’s “edge to edge” display is somewhat undermined by the brand name distracting you :/
Using my #iPad as a light table makes me wish all the more for a “touch lock” option for the mute/rotation switch
Nick Charlton doesn’t look like it — I hit the button and (after hanging for a sec) it said “your vote(?) was greatly appreciated”. Not great design :/
Nick Charlton very, very tempting to hit the “report this ad as fake” button. Surely no sane person would talk like that in real life?!
