Only floor! I may be moving soon to a larger area though. The gurdy is coming along well, I think I'm about half way through but I'm not entirely sure as I haven't made one before. Would love to see pics of your metal shop!

I've been getting on great with the mandolin. I've only been playing for a few months, but I'm really enjoying it. Can't really claim to be all that good yet, though. What other kinds of instruments do you build?

@Robert Cheers — yep, they're a bit obscure and can be really expensive. If this one goes well I'll be able to ramp up production, and plan to sell this model at around £1000 — this is still mainly done by hand, though. How're you getting on with the mandolin?

I don't know of any specifics, but you may want to look at the repositories used by Ubuntu Studio. That distribution ships with a lot that might fit your needs.
