    @BarnabyWalters Those would work as well but would limit it's use to an actual browser. What is wrong with an HTTP header for this?

    @BarnabyWalters I don't see much point in human checking. Machine-only use, with clear indication of the results seems much more useful.

    @BarnabyWalters @janl there is already the Content-MD5 http header for that (although should be sha). Eg Amazon s3 can use to verify upload.
