@barnabywalters Honestly, kudos for getting to that point. A lot of developers never do.

@barnabywalters @t Really fascinated by different reply-context approaches. Love that it's subjective for everybody. Diversity in implementations.

@barnabywalters It also contains Manchester, Portsmouth, Dover, Bedford, Durham, Rochester, Hanover, and, er, Greenland.

, to your last point, GitHub actually does do redirects when repositories get moved or renamed. You can read the announcement here. I doubt they do it for historical renames though; only new ones going forward.

In reply to a post on waterpigs.co.uk@barnabywalters whoa I might have to watch that again! Didn't realize they also had positronic brains in I, Robot.

@barnabywalters Are you really sure you want to do that to yourself?

In reply to a post on waterpigs.co.uk@BarnabyWalters good idea! I started playing around with WordPress’ custom-post-types, to hide for examples replys from the main-page. The noise is to high for my normal blog readers…

In reply to a post on waterpigs.co.ukI’m thinking of actually writing the code I used to calculate those stats and run it for previous and future indiewebcamps, too — might be fun to see how we’re growing!

In reply to a post on waterpigs.co.ukI might end up with something similar. I already have posts which are temporal and I plan on adding pages (primarily for /me and /about) like most blogging software out there. #indieweb #taproot

In reply to a post on waterpigs.co.uk@BarnabyWalters I agree that venues/profile/contacts fall into that category, but I would encourage you to keep essays and longer writings in the "dated" category. The problem with de-emphasizing the date of longer posts is that they do actually age over time, there are many articles I've written that I'm glad have the date 2004 on them because they're not as relevant anymore. I used to publish articles under a flat hierarchy, and over several years grew to regret that. Finally this update with #p3k I added redirects for the old paths to the new dated path structure. #indieweb
