In reply to a post on waterpigs.co.ukThanks! I’ve not worked with bamboo myself, but it definitely has some interesting properties, and is amazingly hard considering how quickly it grows. Plus, you can eat it! Although that applies to walnuts and fruit woods too

I'm also a bit curious about bamboo as a material. It's sustainable (when farmed), lightweight, durable... I think there are environmentally sound ways of bonding it. (A lot of plywood for instance uses toxins in the bonding process as I understand.) -
