cssquirrel I much prefer twitter in the browser because I can get rid of ads and promoted tweets, and customise the UI so I reply, retweet and favourite on my site instead. Pity I can't so easily on mobile — perhaps an ios app which is just a web view with some custom JS… #webactions #idea

Tantek Çelik I ignored city, as it’s so often used that I see it as synonymous for town/village (a shorter version of “settlement” perhaps), but the high school/university ones got on my nerves. Ended up ignoring high school (what even is that) and put Totnes School of Guitarmaking for “university”

sophiedennis one of the interesting things about #indiewebcamp is that there’s almost no discussion about privacy or security. It’s completely focused on sharing, content ownership and lowering the barrier to entry.

Laura Kalbag also, things like Aral Balkan’s great wordpress export tools make it especially easy to migrate to self-hosted indieweb — hosted w/ own domain name redirect is the achievable first step.
