Where are the contextual experiences?
So many apps and services assume you wish to have a long-term experience when a teprary one would suit you better.
For example, installing an app you're only going to use for a particular event. Or, subscribing to someone/thing for an event.
@raspberry_pi for a moment then I thought it said “Extreme Director” :)
Motorola’s “edge to edge” display is somewhat undermined by the brand name distracting you :/
Using my #iPad as a light table makes me wish all the more for a “touch lock” option for the mute/rotation switch
Nick Charlton doesn’t look like it — I hit the button and (after hanging for a sec) it said “your vote(?) was greatly appreciated”. Not great design :/
Nick Charlton very, very tempting to hit the “report this ad as fake” button. Surely no sane person would talk like that in real life?!
Oh dear, my little old macbook is complaining a bit today. First the battery goes, then the wifi repeatedly disconnects. I hope this isn’t the beginning of the end :(
Someday, someone’ll invent a car where the indicator relay ticks in time with the music.
Aral Balkan impressive, but isn’t that an ergonomic nightmare?
Is that an A4 page? How much “data” can you get onto an A4 piece of paper? Can you use both sides?
We’re in the 21st Century and BBC News still talks about “pages” of data :/
Drew McLellan alternate so as to count from 0 to 3 in binary. Your dominant eye is the MSB
Aral Balkan the other interesting effect I get is an increase in perceived productivity. Closing an app via multitouch instead of physical button seems a more fluid UI
@mozhacks now I’m just keeping an eye on the blogs and IRC, waiting for the dev hardware :)
@tommorris is there a wiki somewhere we can document incidents like this in a central location?
“Our updated SDK is really cool” RIM, in possibly the worst filking ever
Okay, must stop starting posts with “Okay, must…”
I must say I’m astonished that the iPhone 5 has a reparability score of 7/10! Huge improvement: http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/iPhone-5-Teardown/10525/5
