Halsway is quite possibly the best venue for traditional music workshops I’ve ever been to. The setting is beautiful, the building exquisite, the staff friendly and knowledgable, the food excellent and very British.
Check out their website to see what’s on; I frequent the annual Hurdy Gurdy Weekend (and have written about it) and highly recommend it to any gurdy player in the UK, or who’s up for traveling.
If you get the opportunity to stay an extra day before or after a course, it’s worth it for the chance to peruse the small but densely packed library.
