Baroque Recorder Fingering Chart
This recorder fingering chart contains note names, standard notation and fingering diagrams for the full 32 note range of standard Baroque (“English”) recorders from subcontrabass to sopranino, including several common alternative fingerings, all on one A4 sheet of paper.
I designed this chart after looking for an A4 fingering chart which included standard notation and note names for the full 2.5 octave range of at least treble (alto) and descant (soprano) recorders, in a clear, nicely designed style. I couldn’t find one which matched my requirements, so spent a couple of hours trying to create the perfect fingering chart. Hopefully you will find it useful!
The chart is licensed under a Creative Commons CC0 Public Domain license. Spread it far and wide at no cost, modify it, improve it, do what you want with it, then turn off your computer and play the recorder for a bit. That is, after all, the point.
If you want to attribute me as the author, that’d be very kind! I’m Barnaby Walters, and appreciate people linking to my website, waterpigs.co.uk. If you really love the fingering chart (and/or profit from it, e.g. give it to hundreds of students or publish it in a book), then a small donation would make me very happy!
