Indeed. Is there any way to run a pole through such person's heart?

@Roman I tend to use a catch-all address, so that whatever users decide to throw at me (including misspellings before the @) get to me.
@Marry — Do you have a link to your site? I'm always happy to have a look over beginner's sites and point out improvements.
P.S. Perhaps the 'good time to call' indicator would be a good first Javascript project?

I'm just starting out building websites with HTML/CSS. I find I have a tendency to make it look better, where mostly the site lacks in plain text content. Practising my writing skills now lol. This is an awesome usability tip. Thank you!

Oooh, that's not great :( I've never figured out what it is that makes a day good for busking. Some days (like today) should have been great but weren't. What instrument were you playing?

If it's any consolation, it's not just you, we're all struggling - I've been surviving from my regulars for the last 18 months.

Now I get it. They just need a vacuum cleaner to make it dark again. Nilfisk should do.

Calling and writing your assemblymen on up. Let them understand how you feel as a constituent. Use social media to post to the whitehouse, congress, and the senate.

If you live in the US, you can call your representative.

Agreed. Unfortunately, there is little some of us can do about it.

That certainly tallies with what I've found so far. And the car tip is a good one — when mixing my band's CD, I kept on burning tracks to a disk and going out to play it in my parent's cars. That and headphones was the closest I could get to an approximately balanced sound.

Also, grabbing audio from Youtube will have nothing above roughly 11khz, as the compression method will remove it, regardless of how the source was captured...

Engineers Tip: Check your mix in a car. Excessive bass will make the plastic door panels vibrate as it tries to move excessive air (assuming door mounted L/R speakers). Back in the day, this used to work for me flawlessly. Also, never do a final mix using headphones, ever; they roll of badly below 60Hz, and cut completely below 20Hz.

I've always liked the translation of that that last line that goes "The Tao follows its own ways"

Reminds me of Laurie Anderson's "O Superman"
Cause when love is gone, there's always justice. And when justive is gone, there's always force. And when force is gone, there's always Mom. Hi Mom!

I'm a little confused by the formatting here. I'm pretty sure I'm not using markdown anywhere apart from three hyphens (---) for the lines.

Thanks! It is, and has been a real learning process. I already had a good idea of how to use all the basic hand tools, and I knew roughly the steps that were involved, but this course has really shown me the subtleties behind instrument making.

Looks great, quite a fascinating process, is it not?
