Got a lot of work done on my #indieweb publishing software today. This is in preparation to using it on a friend’s site, then releasing all the components into the public. Exciting stuff!

#indieweb proposal: Favicons + apple-touch PNGs for easily discoverable profile pics. Goes against discovery principles, but it’s already in wide use and well supported.

Anyone know a good way of integration testing how a web app communicates with twitter? I want to make my testing better so I can test syndication, but I’m not entirely sure how to go about it.

@sandeepshetty yep. At the moment it’s a couple of functions, by tomorrow it’ll be a PHP5 namespaced composer package.
Increasingly, my #indieweb activities are moving from “Publishing my own content” to “Intelligently parsing other people’s content”. As such, I am writing a PHP #microformats-2 parser

@briansuda I did start writing a complainey blog post about both of them, but decided to spend the time building something more webby instead.
@sandeepshetty fab :) I want to get Salmon working so I can reply/fave/etc. from my own software but it’s bloody awkward. Currently in the process of publishing some ideas on how magic sigs could be more effectively used. In the mean time, Pingback FTW!

My @openphoto dir size is getting near 700MB, 3000 photo version records and holding up fine. Any tips for filesize optimisation?
