Rewatching Star Wars IV for the first time in years (not counting the Uncut) is a hilarious reminder of all the mondegreens my 10 year old ears heard amongst the dialog, such as threepio exclaiming that for droids to suffer is “our Latin life”

Watched Gravity with friends — a beautifully made film about Murphy’s Law and the importance of international UI conventions. Reminded me a lot of the scene from Explorers on the Moon where Captain Haddock gets drunk and starts orbiting a nearby asteroid before he is saved by Tintin and a sturdy rope.
Time to fix the fact that, for one reason or another, I’ve never seen I, Robot all the way through
Just finished #watching Laputa, Castle in the Sky again. It may not have the strongest plot out of all the Myazaki films, but it does have, in approximate order of appearance:
The robots look like this:
My point being that anyone who demands any more than this from a film probably doesn’t deserve it.
Finished #watching Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind. Beautiful film. One day I will be like Yupa and talk using only my facial hair.
#watching Princess Mononoke. Thankfully dad fell asleep a while ago and stopped giggling :/
#watching Spirited Away on film4
Or not — dad decided football has priority :(
#watching/#listening to Aral Balkan’s “The High Cost of Free” (slides and audio) #indieweb #ownyourcontent #bookmark
#watching Insect Dissection. Amazing stuff, but I wish they'd stop using “insect” and “bug” interchangeably.
#watching The Matrix Reloaded. Lots of long, pointless scenes, but some fun stuff too. So, is the third one worth watching?
#watching a meta-parody of Look Around You. It’s a bit slow at times but the ending is hilarious!
Currently #watching: Will Wright and Brian Eno on Generative Systems:
Watching Private Life of Plants, from the year I was born. It has aged well, and remains my favourite Attenborough series.
